Elegant master bathroom design and remodel. See how we transformed this master bathroom into a timeless oasis filled with ethereal style and relaxing comforts.
Soft white walls and dreamy Carrara marble accents fuse in this master bath design and remodel to create a relaxing and restful retreat. Located beneath the modest bathroom’s only window, the deep soaking tub becomes a focal point in the space. Sunlight filtering in above the tub brings out the shine of chrome finishes and gives the room a luminous glow.
Drawing inspiration for this bathroom came easy after we stumbled upon this marble-topped open vanity. The Carrara marble atop the vanity is repeated in the tub deck and inside the shower, giving the bathroom the look and feel of an upscale European hotel bath. The open design of the vanity creates visual breathing room in the modest-size master bath design.
A vintage-style chrome faucet reflects light streaming in from the window above the soaking tub and blends with the classic European flavor of the bathroom design.
Built-in shelving and a ledge beside the vanity make up for any storage deficits left by the open vanity. The open shelves play into the airy character of the bathroom design and offer storage space for bathroom necessities.
Carrara marble tiles from the main bath area continue onto the walls of the enclosed shower and floor of the private toilet compartment. A glass door on the shower stall keeps the luxurious marble surfacing on display. A small cabinet hung above the toilet offers additional storage in the small, separate room.
A marble-topped bench in the shower is just as handy for sitting as it is for storing toiletries. Although it deviates from the rest of the bathroom flooring, a basket-weave pattern of black and white marble tiles creates an interesting style statement on the shower floor. The one-of-a-kind flooring also makes the slick shower floor more slip-resistant since the small tiles require more grout.
The wall-mount tub filler echoes the curves and classic styling found in the rest of the bathroom design and remodel. A handheld showerhead resting above the tub filler adds convenience during a soak in the tub.
