1. myPANTONE
PANTONE is a well established company with over 13,000 colors to choose from. Now you can browse through these colors by simply downloading the myPANTONE app for the iPhone. You can easily choose a color and share it with your designer or contractor and order the color directly, eliminating the need to visit a store and look through color samples.
2. Home Design 3D
This is a really fun app to use. It allows you to create virtual homes and place windows, doors, furniture and accessories around the house. This is a great app to get a virtual tour of the house once you have completed the interiors. Designers as well as homeowners can use it to generate various projects and create models of the upcoming house structures.
3. Benjamin Moore Color Capture
This app has a huge color palette from which to select a color for any room in your home. The major appeal of this app is that it allows you to take a picture of any shade of paint in your home or elsewhere and find a match in the more than 3,000 paint colors available from Benjamin Moore. The app will search the shade uploaded and will give the best option available. It can also suggest a menu of colors which will complement the color you’ve found.

Want some inspiration to re-do your house? Download the Houzz app and get access to a huge database of over 200,000 interior design images.
5. iHandy Level
Don’t have a level handy when hanging a picture or any other home improvement project that needs one?. This app takes advantage of the iPhone’s built-in gyroscope and allows easy checking of an angle or slope on your phone.
6. Carpet and Floor Calculators
Want to redo the flooring in any room? With this app, simply punch in the size of the room and the material you want to use and get a calculation of the flooring needed as well as ballpark pricing based on square footage.
7. I.D. Wood
Thinking about wooden flooring for your home? This app will help you choose the kind of wood you want to use. It offers a breakdown of each wood type and provides information about functionality and durability.
8. Moodboard
This app acts as a “virtual bulletin board” to collect all sorts of pictures which provide inspiration for your own designs. You can collect pictures from the Internet or upload them from your phone. The app also offers the ability to highlight various features of the pictures you post.

This app provides a huge library of fabric options for various uses around your home. It can suggest the best fabrics to use for every purpose ranging from curtains to upholstery, plus links to videos about the fabric in question.
