Ladies and gentlemen, here are a few ideas on how to get a quick and easy bathroom upgrade. You don’t need a healthy bank account ready, these simple ideas can transform your current dated bathroom into a space that you will appreciate. The bathroom may be one of the most visited areas of your home, thus making it a comfortable and pleasing area is very important. It is a space where we would like to come into with ease and have a nourishing atmosphere.

1. Shower enclosure – is your bathroom still in the old curtain era? If they have become old and moldy, it’s time to replace it. Try going for a print or patterned shower curtain for a different look and feel of the space. Another option is changing it to a shower enclosure, if it fits in your budget. Frameless shower doors are popular these days. It creates a feeling of openness as it takes away the heavy frame work of the regular old shower enclosures. If you have a small space bathroom, this would do well in it.

2. Bathroom fixtures – replacing the old, dull fixtures into a beautiful shiny chrome or brushed nickel fixture brings an immediate pop to your bathroom. It automatically creates an updated feel. There are tons of different designs and styles out in the market today. Choose one that fits to your style and theme of your bathroom.

3. A fresh coat of paint – a dull and faded wall can make your bathroom look boring and uninviting. Layer up a fresh new coat of paint to spruce up and create a different mood for when you walk through that bathroom door. Depending on your style and mood, you can range from light colors for a fresh natural look or depending on your persona you may go with a darker wall.

4. Medicine cabinet – Tired of having stuff falling into the sink? Adding a medicine cabinet as a vanity mirror can increase your storage in your bathroom. Aside from additional storage, this is a good way to hide away small bottles of cream and other toiletries you don’t want lingering around your countertop. Stacking those little bottles and medicines can leave your countertop looking neat, clean and clutter free.

 5. Bathroom vents – Steamy showers can create a stuffy bathroom. Having a bathroom vent installed can prevent the foggy bathroom and can help prevent the walls from eventually molding up.

 6. Cauling around the tub or shower – Is the seals around the bathroom tub cracked, brownish, or mildewed? It’s time to put a fresh new silicon. This would make it look updated and looking new.

 7. New Tile – updating the tile on your floor and brighten up the feel of your entire bathroom. It would definitely make your space looking new and different. I would recommend calling a pro.

 8. Coordinating your accents – when picking a theme for your bathroom, try to coordinate the pieces so it will have an even flow and not look like an eye strain. If you have a chrome finished mirror, go with chrome fixtures or lighting to combine the look altogether.

9. Vanity – One of the first things you see when you come into a bathroom is the vanity. Has your vanity become old and dated? Switching it out to a new one will definitely bring a new pop to your space. Many home improvement stores offers a wide variety of standalone vanities that are easy to install. If you don’t want to entirely change out the vanity, you may also consider painting the cabinets or changing the counter top to refresh the look.

10. Lighting – lighting fixtures can create an immediate dramatic effect in a bathroom. Create a glamorous look by adding a chandelier and hanging wall sconces to create a relaxing feel in your space. With whatever lighting fixture you go with, be sure to add a dimmer to the switches so you can create the ambiance you desire with a touch of your fingertips.

Redoing your bathroom can either be expensive, over whelming and time consuming. But by keeping your projects small you can give your bathroom a quick makeover with a little time and money spent. Use these little tips to get you started and get your dream look on its way.
