Interested in creating a white classy kitchen? A kitchen design that will never look old and outdated. White is classy, elegant and most of all timeless. Having an all white kitchen can be a little tricky in terms of maintenance, but it can also stand out and be one of the focal points in your home. Here are a few tips on how make your white kitchen the conversational piece.

                                                        # 1 – Countertop

Choosing a countertop for a kitchen with white counter tops white cabinets can be less stressful than cabinets with color. White cabinets generally go with almost anything. However, if you want a kitchen that will look stunning and elegant, chose a strong contrast of color for the countertop for that wow effect. Although in some, a white kitchen may also have a white shaded countertop material made from granite or ceasarstone to match the white colored cabinets. For instance, white Carrara marble countertop would look extremely elegant when paired with the white cabinets. Another option would be a countertop with shades of grey to match with the white cabinets. This too would bring out the clear sheers of the white cabinets.

# 2 – Flooring

Withstanding heavy traffic, dropped dishes and spills, what would be the best flooring material for this space? Dark – light – dark is what kitchen design professionals in Los Angeles would say. To enhance the white cabinets in your kitchen, it would be best to go with a dark colored flooring. Whether it is hardwood floors, laminate floors or tile, choosing a darker shade would bring out the look of the kitchen. However, some may choose to go on a lighter shade using travertine or porcelain tiles, this would create a gorgeous effect as well. Keep in mind that it would be difficult to maintain it to keep it sparkling clean.

# 3 – Upper Cabinets light colored flooring

Enhancing the upper cabinets in the kitchen with glass front would look extremely elegant specially when accented with lighting. Creating that “china cabinet” look and a space for your special house wares made from crystals or glass. Your most valuable pieces would be gleaming through those glass cabinets.

Aside from light shining through from the upper cabinets, installing under cabinet lighting will create a ton of effects in a white kitchen. The reflections of the light to the colors from the countertop and the cabinets would bring your kitchen look to the next level. If you have an island, placing pendant lighting to shine down would create another gorgeous effect.

# 5 – Stunning accents

White cabinets go well with brushed nickel or polished chrome accents. Drawer pulls or cabinet knobs in these finishes would create a modernized effect and make it look outstanding. It would very well go with stainless steel appliances and would make your kitchen shine.
